Because there are so many different kinds of materials found in Special Collections--books, papers, photographs, maps, artworks, artifacts, just to name a few--there are many ways to search for and use the source material you need. Some collections are cataloged in Blais, the online catalog, and other items are listed only in the card catalog. Some collections have inventories, and some may be indexed on a database in the department only. When you are ready to begin your research, we encourage you to consult with a Special Collections librarian for assistance with locating primary source material.
