Electronic Reserves: Information for Students

Accessing electronic course reserves

From the ERes home page, use the tabs and the drop-down menus to look for course reserves by instructor's last name, course name or number, or department.

Selecting an instructor will bring up a list of links to the courses he or she is currently teaching. Selecting a department will bring up all the courses that department has on the system.

When you have found it, click on the link for your course. Next enter the course password and click the "Accept" button. Note: the password is case sensitive, so you must type it with upper and lower case letters exactly as it is given to you. The course page lists the readings for that course. Click on a link to open the reading.

Passwords for electronic course reserves

Most courses require a password to access the materials on reserve. Your instructor should give you the password for your course; if you don't remember the password for your course, ask at the Services Desk in Honnold/Mudd Library. Note: the password is case sensitive, so you must type it with upper and lower case letters exactly as it is given to you.

Saving articles from electronic course reserves

You can print, email or download articles posted on electronic reserves. All course pages and articles are deleted at the end of the semester, so if you want these articles for future reference, you must save copies for yourself.
